Stress affects cats differently for different reasons. This
is likely due to genetic factors, but there are undoubtedly environmental
factors as well, such as a lack of early socialisation.
Taking your cat away from home, whether it be for a trip to
the vet or a stay at a boarding cattery, can cause acute stress. When a cat is
extremely stressed, they frequently act very upset at the time, but as long as
they have time to calm down comfortably at home afterwards, the effects
shouldn't last very long.
Other cats are one of the main stressors for cats. If there
are enough resources for the number of cats and if they all get along, having
more than one cat in your home can work well. Some cats may experience extreme
anxiety when sharing food or water bowls, resting areas, or litter trays, which
may result in chronic stress. Even if a cat lives alone, they may still run
into issues if they meet other cats outside that they don't get along with. If
other cats can see into your house, your cat won't be able to flee by going
inside, which might make life very challenging.
Even other animals can worry cats. While many cats and dogs
get along well (often better than if they were both cats, some cats find it
difficult to deal with certain situations, such as the introduction of a new
puppy.
Even well-intentioned family members might stress out a cat
if they try to pet, fuss over, or pick them up when they don't want to be
touched. Small children, who can't tell when cats don't want to connect, or new
newborns crying and needing attention from the people in the house can also be
a cause of ongoing stress for cats who prefer regularity and privacy
Some cats may suffer from chronic stress if they are bored
and frustrated by lack of opportunities to fulfil their behavioural needs.
If you think that the thing is going to be out of control
then visit to your veterinarian, consult with him, take his/ her suggestion. If
he/ she may suggest some anxiety medicine for cats, then try
to give that to your furry on time to time basis, it will surely provide your
pets some relief.
